Opening Words – Tom Van Dragt

Introductory Functions

Financial – Report from the Vice President-Finance –

      A. 2006 Year end reports sent by Chad.

      B. Pledges are 5% behind YTD , although spending is behind budget as well.

      C. Major fixed summer expenses of UUA dues and Heartland district dues are coming in June. There is a need to increase and manage cash flow to cover these expenses ($10000).

Organizational

      A. Report from the Minister, Dr. Brent Smith

B. Report from President, Tom Van Dragt

          1. June 2nd BOT retreat with combination of FORTH assessment and leadership retreat workshop by Jon Waalkes.

          2. June 1st meeting with Larry wheeler and 5/6 leaders + Brent at end

          3. Interfaith Thanksgiving Service to Be held at Ahavas and Co-sponsored by Ahavas and ASCC

              o Ursula Williams will be contact person for ASCC

              o Host responsible for food (Ahavas), printing and music

      C. Report from Vice-President of Programs, Ursula Williams

          1. June 3rd Newcomers Sunday

          2. The All Souls Picnic is planned for June 10, 2007 location John Ball Zoo.

          3. June 10th volunteer appreciation Sunday – decals will be given.

          4. Program boards will give draft budgets for 2008

          5. Program boards will compile inventory reports for June.

          6. Gary Williams is making an obelisk like message board for church business only

              o Minutes, financials, newspaper clippings, etc.

Old Business

        Forward Through The Ages (FORTH)

            · Jackie and Elgin Vines gave repot on 2007 Annual Budget Drive

                  - 31 non pledging members is very high

            · Larry Wheeler will be here on June 1st to meet with Stewardship leaders, we need ABD leaders by then.

            · We would like to make announcement regarding FORTH during the service.

             

        June 2nd retreat at Isaac Walton League

            · Jon Waalkes to facilitate BOT workshop

             

        Bookkeeper

            · Tom has narrowed candidates down to 4 possibilities.

             

        Safe Congregations Policy

            1. Congregational Forum scheduled for Sunday.

            2. Open forum format – All to be heard

            3. Gordon Arnold and Tom to facilitate.

            4. Set time limit per person for comments.

            5. Question and answer period

            6. 60 minute time limit on meeting
