Adult Education Programs 2009-2010

Community Forum:Ethical Consumerism - how the purchasing decisions we make can advance our principles of respect, dignity, and love for all souls. Trillium Farms infomed us on the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) movement. Local First discussed how purchasing local helps makes West Michigan a better place to live. Clothing Matters descibed how they support Fair Trade across the globe. As a followup activities, a shopping tour was held visiting the many Fair Trade merchants in the East Hills retail district. Other followup activities planned for early 2010 include a movie night to view Food, Inc.
