The music department at All Souls Community Church is filled with joy and centered on community.  Music at All Souls serves to lift the spirit and enhance worship.  From the youngest child to older adults, from instrumentalists to singers, there is a welcome place for everyone. We enjoy sharing a wide variety of music in our service—everything from Bach to the Beatles.

Our Music Department consists of the Adult Choir, the Instrumental Ensemble, and the Young Souls Choir for children.

Adult Choir meets to rehearse on most Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 PM in the sanctuary from mid-August through early June and performs twice per month in worship. We have a range of skill levels, and part tracks are provided for everything we do.

The Instrumental Ensemble includes anywhere from 3-6 players, depending on the Sunday. We play a lot of “flex chamber” music (4-5 voice parts, with coverage possible by a variety of instrumentation). We have a reading session after church in September and January and perform twice a month in worship from September through early June. We rehearse at 9:30 AM on the Sundays we play.

Our Young Souls Children’s Choir is for kids ages 3+. We practice from September through June after church most Sunday mornings and perform monthly in worship. Amy Kurtz directs this group.

Our musical ensembles join forces for the Winter/Holiday Cantata, Christmas Eve worship, and other special Sundays throughout the year. There are also opportunities for soloists and small ensembles to perform Special Music pieces during Sunday worship.

In the spring of 2026, The ASCC Adult Choir joined with choirs from Park Church for two special performances of Kyle Pedersen’s A Vision Unfolding!
